Diamonds are not a girl's best friend

Here it is, my first mobile post. I can't say that I'll be doing this very much because it was quite a hassle. Especially the pictures!!! With publishing this post, I have learned something new. LABELS!!! Now that I know, I must learn how to use them.

I'm sitting on the sectional in my apartment living room, wearing an oversized t-shirt and biker shorts. It's pretty late but I heated up some soup because I am hungry and have no self control. Anyways as I'm eating the soup and watching my favorite crime show, I suddenly notice that I have an audience.

This is my beagle Dean, he is a year old and a little rambunctious. As he is sitting there begging for some of the soup I am eating, (which I will probably give him the rest of later) I start to wonder why we deserve the never ending kindness and innocence that dogs possess. Last Friday I received a devastating phone call letting me know that I lost my dream job at a law firm. It hurt then and it still hurts now. Let's just say I was pretty upset. My precious Dean keyed into my feelings and decided to bring me his favorite tennis ball.

It was such a tender gesture, and being the big baby that I am, it didn't help my situation because now I'm wailing over how cute and adorable my puppy is. It just seems like once the tears start, no matter what the reason, they don't seem to want to stop coming. The whole reason I got Dean in the first place was because my boyfriend was deploying to Kuwait. Slowly but surely I was quietly slipping into an anxiety riddled depression. I tried the meds but they made me feel foggy and I didn't feel like myself. It's something I was battling for awhile, and I had it under control most of the time. Then I found Dean through a friend who rescues dogs. Instantly I fell in love of course, and now he is a much loved member of my family. It's safe to say that Dean has served his purpose as not only a pet, but as emotional support also.Dogs are truly man (and woman's) best friend.

It's time to take my Mr. Dean Winchester on a walk. Yes that is his real name! What 20 year old girl doesn't love a little Jensen Ackles in her life???

Until next time,
Kelsey
