Is there a right and a wrong way to run a blog?
I feel like a lot of my posts are opinion pieces and just random. Audience does not matter to me. If one person reads a post of mine and laughs, smiles, cries, or gets mad, then my mission is accomplished. Although the latter 2 are not preferred reactions.
Selecting a good background, font, font color, title colors, headline colors, footers, widgets, gadgets, gizmos, and whatever else is EXHAUSTING! I do not have an eye for design. It is a really good thing I never wanted to be a graphic design major or anything like that.
You want your blog to be appealing to the eye and easy to read. At least that's how I want mine. Really what I need to do is get one of my friends to design it for me. Either that or find someone that does great website design for cheap cheap cheap. I actually think it might be worth it to pay someone, because if I actually stick with my blog and get a bunch of readers I want it to be easy to navigate for you all.
I should probably pick a style of writing, a theme, and a certain order of my posts but that is not who I am as a person. I am crazy, random, and lively. That's how I describe myself anyways. My mom would say "she beats to her own drum" whatever that means. Wait, I think she says I "marches to the beat of her own drum." Yeahhhhh that makes a lot more sense. I knew I was missing something in there! That's just a nice way of saying that I do whatever I want. Which is true, I do.
Okay so I have made a decision.... I am going to ask my graphic designer friend to redesign my blog. Yes, I am going to pay her because that is what you do... support your friend's livelihoods! I won't even ask for a discount. Maybe....
